Overview

VaultMint respects your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and personal information, what data will be deleted, what data must be retained for legal purposes, and our timeline for processing requests.

This policy applies to all VaultMint users including customers, jewellers, and any other registered account holders.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and data through either of these methods:

Via the App

Open VaultMint → Profile → Settings → Delete Account → Confirm. Your request is submitted immediately and processed within 30 days.

Via Email

Send an email to sales@vaultmint.net with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"

Include in your email:

  • The email address associated with your VaultMint account
  • Your full name as registered on the account

We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, the following data will be permanently deleted:

  • Your account credentials (email address, hashed password)
  • Your display name and profile picture
  • All saved delivery addresses
  • Your FCM push notification token
  • Your social login provider links (Google UID, Apple identity)
  • Notification preferences and settings
  • Your active Vault items (ownership transferred to anonymous record)
  • All notification logs associated with your account

What Must Be Retained

Certain data cannot be deleted due to legal, financial, and platform integrity obligations:

Transaction Records (7 years)

Order records including purchase amounts, Stripe payment intent IDs, and item IDs must be retained for tax and legal compliance. Your personal identifiers are removed — the record becomes anonymous.

Provenance and Transfer History (Permanent)

VaultMint items carry a permanent ownership history for authenticity purposes. If you owned or transferred items, your name in those records will be replaced with "Deleted User". The transfer chain itself is preserved to protect the integrity of subsequent owners' authenticity certificates.

Fraud Prevention Records

If your account was associated with fraud, disputes, or chargebacks, relevant records may be retained as required by Stripe or applicable law.

Timeline

Within 5 business daysAcknowledgement of your deletion request via email

Within 90 daysData removed from all backup systems
Up to 7 yearsAnonymised transaction records retained for legal compliance

Third-Party Data

VaultMint does not control data held by third-party services. You may need to contact them separately:

  • Stripe — for payment records: stripe.com/privacy
  • Google Firebase — for Firebase authentication data: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • Google — for Google Sign-In data: myaccount.google.com
  • Apple — for Apple Sign-In data: appleid.apple.com

Verification

To protect your account security, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. This may include confirming access to the registered email address or confirming account details.
