1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the VaultMint mobile application or website (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VaultMint. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time with notice provided via the Platform or email.

2. Description of Service

VaultMint is a mobile commerce platform for purchasing, collecting, and managing physical and digital collectible items including:

  • Gold & Silver Coins — limited-edition physical coins manufactured by registered jewellers
  • Bankzy Notes — digital collectible notes available via the in-app ATM section
  • Accessories — physical or digital jewellery and collector items
  • NFTs — digital collectibles (marketing term only; no blockchain technology is involved)

Important notice: The terms "NFT", "Gold Bitcoin", "minting", and "crypto" are used as marketing and brand names only. VaultMint does not involve any actual blockchain, cryptocurrency, smart contracts, or decentralised technology. All items are physical jewellery or digital media. "Minting" refers solely to physical jewellery manufacturing.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account
  • You may register using email and password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others
  • VaultMint reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Purchases and Payments

4.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. VaultMint does not store your payment card details.

4.2 Order Confirmation

An order is only confirmed when payment is successfully processed and verified by Stripe. Client-side payment completion does not constitute order confirmation — confirmation is issued by our server upon receiving Stripe's payment webhook.

4.3 Pricing

All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated. Prices include the item cost. A service fee may apply and will be shown at checkout. Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect confirmed orders.

4.4 Stock Availability

Each item has a fixed total count. Stock is reserved atomically at checkout. If an item sells out between your selection and payment completion, you will be notified and no charge will be applied.

4.5 Reward Items

Certain items may include a complimentary reward item gifted automatically upon purchase confirmation. Reward availability is subject to stock and may not always be available. Failure to deliver a reward item will not affect your primary purchase.

5. Physical Item Fulfilment (Minting)

For physical items (coins and mintable accessories), the fulfilment process is:

  • Paid: payment confirmed, item assigned to a registered jeweller
  • Minting: jeweller has begun physical manufacturing
  • Shipped: item dispatched with courier and tracking number provided
  • Active: you have received and scanned the QR code on your item

Delivery times vary based on jeweller production schedules and shipping carrier. VaultMint is not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers or customs.

Upon receiving your physical item, you must scan the embedded QR code via the VaultMint app to activate it in your Vault.

6. Digital Vault and Ownership

Your VaultMint Vault contains all active items you own. Ownership is tracked digitally via your account and is tied to a unique 16-character code per item.

  • Digital ownership records are maintained on VaultMint's platform, not on any blockchain
  • VaultMint is the sole authority on ownership records within the Platform
  • Ownership certificates are generated from your order data and are for display and reference purposes
  • In the event of a dispute, VaultMint's ownership records are the definitive record

7. Transfers

You may transfer active items in your Vault to other registered VaultMint users. Transfer rules:

  • Only active items (status: active) can be transferred
  • You cannot transfer an item to yourself
  • The recipient must have an active VaultMint account
  • Transfers are permanent and irreversible. Once confirmed, ownership is immediately updated.
  • Transfer history is permanently recorded as part of the item's provenance record
  • VaultMint is not responsible for transfers made in error

8. QR Codes and Provenance

Every VaultMint item contains an embedded QR code. Scanning this code:

  • Links to a public provenance page visible to anyone
  • The public page shows: item name, category, status, and current owner's display name only
  • Private information (email, user ID, payment details) is never publicly accessible
  • For owned shipped items, scanning the QR code in the app activates the item

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Platform
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate other users
  • Manipulate pricing, stock counts, or ownership records
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Platform
  • Attempt to intercept or modify communications between the app and our servers
  • Engage in fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes without basis

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and legal action.

10. Refunds and Cancellations

Due to the bespoke nature of physical collectibles manufactured by jewellers:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once payment is confirmed and minting has begun
  • Refunds are only available if VaultMint is unable to fulfil your order
  • Digital-only items (Bankzy Notes, NFTs with isMintable=false) are non-refundable once delivered to your Vault
  • If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact sales@vaultmint.net within 7 days of delivery

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform including item designs, graphics, logos, and software is the property of VaultMint or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without prior written consent.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. VaultMint does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VaultMint shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or goodwill
  • Delays in physical item delivery caused by third-party carriers
  • Losses arising from unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to secure credentials
  • Fluctuations in collectible item value

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific item giving rise to the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts applicable to VaultMint's registered place of business.
